Sunday, January 1 -- New Year’s Day Open House hosted by Dev and John 1-6P
Come one, come all to the open house hosted by Robert (Dev) and John. This is
the second year for this popular event as we all join together in getting 2012 off to a terrific start. Appetizer
finger foods will be provided. If you are planning to attend, bring a finger food appetizer to serve 12. Soft
drinks, coffee and ice tea (sweet and un-sweetened) provided. Feel free to bring for yourself, alcoholic beverages
and mixers.

NOTE: As you know, the lease at Outwrite Bookstore expires this month. As of press time, there is no
additional information as to whether Outwrite will remain in this location or another location. These weekly
gatherings this month depends on what happens in this regard. Right now, we are still meeting there. If the
situation changes, you will be notified.
Saturday, January 7 -- APT Board Meeting at 1:30P; meeting at 3P Rush Center
Our guest speaker is Dr. Manuel E., noted for his expertise in aging issues facing the senior
citizen. He recently authored an article in the New York Times dealing with the aging and being alone. He will
present a discussion, questions are welcome, dealing with this important topic facing all of us. He is with the
Wesley Woods Center of Emory University and Assistant Professor of Medicine, Division of Geriatric Medicine
and Gerontology, Emory University School of Medicine.

Friday, January 13 -- MIXX Bar Nite gather between 8:30 9P
Several members had a really good time here last moth. MIXX had a great lounge act that was very
enjoyable. Who knows what they may have lined up for this night? Come and socialize with fellow members
and kick off the weekend on our new bar night.
Saturday, January 14 -- Saturday Movie Matinee, Regal Hollywood 24, www.fandango.com for movie listings.
What better way to spend a cold January afternoon than witha good movie? There is easy parking and at
least 5 current movies to select from; matinee prices; arrive between 1 & 1:20P and assemble in the ticket lobby
area. No RSVP required but feel free to do so and we can look out for you
