If you have never attended, well this is the year!
Please join many of your fellow Prime Timers at the Queer Music Consortium Pride Concert on Sunday June 2 at 3:00pm at Como Park Lakeside Pavilion (1360 Lexington Parkway North, St. Paul). This incredible annual event brings together a variety of queer music groups including the One Voice Mixed Chorus, Twin Cities Gay Men’s Chorus, Transgender Voices, Calliope Women’s Chorus, Minnesota Philharmonic Orchestra, Minnesota Freedom Band and more and there is always a rousing finale!
Hosted cocktails, dinner, and One Voice...Oh My!
On Saturday June 29 at 7:30pm the Prime Timers will be at the Ordway Theater in St. Paul attending the Summer Pride Concert of the One Voice Mixed Chorus, Minnesota’s only --- and one of the nation’s largest --- lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and straight allies (LGBTA) chorus. Resistance and Resilience explores the power of song in both the African American and LGBTQ+ struggles for human rights. The concert features the Midwest SATB premiere of Quiet No More, a new commission honoring activists who fought back during the LGBTQ Stonewall uprising 50 years ago. Tickets cost $35 each.
But wait…There’s more!
The evening will start at the St. Paul Hotel across the street from the Ordway for a Hosted Cocktail Reception from 5:00pm to 5:30pm. That’s right…If you’re attending the One Voice concert, your cocktails before the show will be complimentary thanks to an anonymous donation from one of our members! Then, we’ll all be going to the Sakura Japanese Restaurant & Bar for Dinner from 5:30pm to 7:00pm (350 St. Peter Street, St. Paul, MN) which is just one block down the street from the St. Paul Hotel. After dinner, we’ll all walk back to the Ordway for the One Voice concert which starts at 7:30pm. It will be an amazing evening!
