Twin Cities Pride Festival
The Prime Timers MSP Chapter will have a booth again at this year’s Twin Cities Pride celebration at Loring Park in Minneapolis on Saturday June 22 and Sunday June 23 from 10:00am to 6:00pm each day.
We will again be in the “Boomertown” area supported by AARP. Twin Cities Pride brings the greater GLBT community together to commemorate our diverse heritage, foster inclusion, educate and create awareness of issues, and celebrate achievements in equality. There are events that are open and inviting to everyone in the community, providing a safe environment in which individuals feel free to celebrate their relationships. Twin Cities Pride is committed to supporting, promoting, and collaborating with community groups to bring the greater LGBTQ+ community together to commemorate our diverse heritage, foster inclusion, educate and create awareness of issues, and celebrate achievements in equality. This event continues to be one of the best in the year to introduce Prime Timers to prospective members so please come out and help us share our wonderful story!

It’s time for East Central Minnesota Pride in the Park! Make the trek to Pine City, Minnesota on Sunday June 2 for the East Central Minnesota Pride in the Park (200 5th Street SE, Pine City, MN 55063). The event runs from 12:00pm to 4:00pm. For the 15th-straight year, Pine City has been host to East Central Minnesota Pride. The event gives LGBT people of East Central Minnesota, those questioning, and their friends, family and allies an opportunity to meet and build community in an otherwise isolated part of the state. It takes about 90 minutes to drive from Minneapolis to Pine City. It’s a “small but mighty” Pride Celebration in a park and the community is always welcoming to all who come to support the event. Maybe you can too?
